Rev. Dr. La Trice Finch, Founder & Pastor

About Me.

Min. Dr. La Trice Finch is greatly involved in the building of God’s kingdom through her church and family life. She is a member of the New Greater Exodus M.B. Church, Inc., where she has been a re-instated member for over 26 years. She has served in several roles: Vice President, Directress, and Treasurer of Joy (Adult) Choir, Co-coordinator of the Women’s ministry, Directress of Angelic Voices of Exodus (Youth) Choir, and Leader /Facilitator of the Youth Ministry. As of November 1, 2020, she held the following appointments in her church: Christian Education/Sunday School Teacher, Church Administrator and Chairperson of the Trustee Ministry. She has worked diligently to assist her Pastor and Church family to obtain their vision-directed goals, which included 501 (c) (3) Federal tax exemptions, establish the Trustee Ministry, the reorganization of the church administration to include technology-based communication system, business office, and church designated funds account.

 

In 2007, Min. Finch accepted her call to ministry and began her appointment as a minister- in- training. She assists with the presentation on the church’s mission and vision of stewardship, evangelism, spiritual maturity, discipleship, worship, and missionary/outreach, under the guidance of Pastor Edward L. Whitehead. As a part of her ministerial requirements, in 2008, Min. Finch sought theological education at McCormick Theological Seminary and graduated in 2011 with a Master of Divinity. On May 9, 2020, Min. Finch graduated from McCormick Theological Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry.

 

After preaching her trial sermon entitled, The Right Action in Bad Situation (John 11:1-3), on August 30, 2009, she received her license into the Gospel Ministry and an appointment as an Associate Minister.  During her first year of the ministry, Min. Finch successfully served as a student intern at Saint John Church- Baptist, under the supervision of Rev. Dr. Ricky Freeman and Rev. Dr. James E. Dunn. As an Associate Minister and first woman clergy, she worked diligently and faithfully for 13 years under the guidance of her Pastor. On July 27, 2020, after much prayer and with the blessing from her Pastor, Min. Dr. Finch organized Kingdom Temple Christian Ministries. On April 25, 2021, Rev. Dr. La Trice  Finch Was ordained and installed as Pastor of Kingdom Temple Christian Ministries.

 

Min. Dr. Finch is a loving wife to her husband of 7 years, Brother Victor Finch and a dedicated mother of her 30-year-old daughter, Andreanna Jackson. She enjoys a very special relationship with her mother, Brenda Terry, her sister, La Shaun Morgan, her nieces, and her nephews. Min. Finch can be found spending time with her great nieces and great nephews.  In addition to her immediate family, Rev. Dr.  Finch lives her life with the motto “your family is her first ministry”. Because of this motto, she coordinates her family’s family reunion, The Whitehead Family Fellowship Festival -WF3; bringing her entire family together to celebrate their ancestry, their love, and their faith. 

 

Since 1991, Rev. Dr. Finch has cared for others as a Licensed Professional Registered Nurse with an extensive background in Maternal-Child and Community Health Nursing.  In 2004, Min. Finch obtained a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Community Health from Saint Xavier University. In 2014, she earned a Professional Educator License, specializing in School Nursing. Since January 17, 2020, she is employed as a Tenured Nursing Faculty and Chairperson of the Nursing Program at Triton College in River Grove, IL.
